Our Titanic Tartan has a pedigree, this Belfast Tartan has roots that take us back over 400 years

to 1590. The discovery of an “Ulster” tartan in an earth bank at Flanderstowland in County Londonderry led to extensive scientific investigation. Among the exciting revelations associated with the find, were a 16th cen. date, the reconstruction of a tartan based on the original colouring or dyes, and insight into the lives of ordinary people living three centuries ago. Today our Titanic tartan is not merely inspired by that discovery but recaptures the quality of that ancient cloth in its very weave.
